The Swedish national arena - Friends Arena

Friends Arena is Sweden's national arena and one of the world’s most modern arenas. Thanks to a clear view from all seats, the latest communication technology, a retractable roof, and excellent support services, all guests experience great moments. Friends Arena clearly raised the bar when it comes to sports arenas.

The arena holds up to 65,000 guests for concerts and 50,000 for sporting events. Friends Arena is home to the men's national football team and the AIK football team (soccer).

The Swedish Football Association, the Solna municipality, Jernhusen, Peab, and Fabege own the arena.
The arena is named after Friends, an anti-bullying organization. Swedbank owns the rights to the arena’s name, which it gave to the Friends Foundation. As a sponsor, Swedbank’s objective is to give the foundation increased opportunities to reach out to children and young people in schools and sports clubs.

3 – Use the entrance stated on your ticket. Follow the signs in the area carefully.

GETTING TO FRIENDS ARENA

The easiest way to get to and from Friends Arena is by bus.

Bus
Take bus 509 towards Danderyds Sjukhus, the bus leaves from Smältvägen. Get off at Solna Station (28 min) Another alternative is to take the bus152 from Bromma Airport to Sundbyberg Station and then bus 515 to Solna Station. From our hotel you also have the possibility to walk, you find Friends Arena 5,5 km away.

Extra Stockholm Public Transport buses (before and after events)
We recommend that guests who come by bus give themselves plenty of extra time since buses can get stuck in traffic around Arenastaden.

Bus 102 from Sundbyberg Station to Friends Arena (Evenemangsgatan)
See Stockholm Public Transport's website for more travel options and information.

Taxis
Taxis are available at the taxi stand after the events. See nr 12 on the map below. The taxi fare is approximately SEK 150-200 from the hotel.

Cars
We recommend that our guests use public transport first and foremost. On days of event Arenastaden is closed to car traffic and there is nowhere to park at the stadium. There is heavy traffic around Arenastaden during major events. If you still choose to take your car, you should allow a lot of extra time and park in regular parking lots in Solna. It is often better to choose park-and-ride at a commuter station and use public transportation for the rest of the way.

Mobility service vehicles and cars with parking permits for the disabled
Visitors arriving via mobility service vehicles or who have their own car with a parking permit for the disabled should drive to the only entrance for vehicular traffic at Sjövägen/Råsta strandväg. Drop-off and pick-up are near the Hx entrance. Note that the time given for the end of the event is approximate. If you order special transportation for the trip home, we recommend booking so you have about an hour’s leeway.
